Privacy Policy

This policy explains what Amply Match collects, why, and what control you have over it.
Amply Match, Inc. ("Amply Match," "we," "us") operates amplymatch.com and the Amply Match application.
What we collect
Information you give us. Your name, email address, and the details of your savings goal. If you are a sponsor, the match terms you set and the payments you record.
Financial information from your bank. If you connect a savings account, we receive transaction and balance information for that account through Plaid.
We never receive or store your online banking credentials. You enter those directly with Plaid, and our access is read-only. We cannot move money.

Usage information. Pages viewed, features used, device and browser type, and general location derived from IP address. We use PostHog for product analytics.
We do not collect Social Security numbers, government identification, or payment card details. We have no reason to, because we do not open accounts or process payments.
What your family can see
This matters, so we are specific about it.
A sponsor you invite can see: your goal, your progress toward it, the amount and date of deposits we attribute to your savings, and the match record between you.
A sponsor cannot see: your full transaction history, your account balance beyond what relates to the goal, your other accounts, or any activity in the connected account that is not a contribution toward the goal.
You choose who to invite, and you can remove a sponsor at any time.
How we use it
- To operate the service: track contributions, calculate matches, produce statements
- To communicate with you about your account, including match reminders
- To improve the product and understand how it is used
- To keep the service secure and prevent misuse
- To comply with law
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with advertisers. We do not use your financial data for advertising or share it with data brokers.
Who we share it with
Service providers who help us run the service, under contracts that limit their use of the data:
- Plaid, for bank account connections
- Render, for infrastructure
- PostHog, for product analytics
- Resend, for transactional email
- Clerk, for authentication
Other users, as described above, when you invite them.
Legal, if we are required by law, subpoena, or court order, or to protect rights and safety.
A successor, if Amply Match is acquired or merges. We will notify you if that happens and your information becomes subject to a different policy.
How long we keep it
Account information is retained while your account is open.
Transaction data received through Plaid is retained while your connection is active and afterward so that historical statements remain accurate.
If you disconnect your bank account, we stop receiving new transaction data immediately. If you close your account, we delete your personal information except where we are required to retain it.
Your choices
You can disconnect your bank account at any time from your settings. Doing so stops all new data collection from that account.
You can close your account at any time and request deletion of your data by emailing hello@amplymatch.com.
You can opt out of non-essential email while continuing to receive messages necessary to operate your account.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, and to object to certain processing.
Residents of California, Colorado, Connecticut, Minnesota, Virginia, and other states with comprehensive privacy laws have these rights under those laws. Minnesota residents additionally have the right to obtain a list of the categories of third parties to whom we have disclosed personal data, and rights relating to profiling.

Security
We use encryption in transit and at rest, restrict internal access to what is needed, and rely on Plaid so that banking credentials never reach our systems.
No system is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children
Amply Match is for people 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If we learn we have, we will delete it.
Cookies
We use cookies for authentication and product analytics. You can control cookies through your browser, though some are necessary for the service to work.
Changes
We may update this policy. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or in the product before they take effect.
