Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 17, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how Amply Match, Inc. ("Amply Match," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares personal information when you visit amplymatch.com, join our waitlist, or use our applications and services (collectively, the "Service").
The short version: we collect the information needed to run a savings matching service — your contact details, identity information, and bank account data you connect through Plaid — plus standard analytics about how you use our site and app. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
1. Information We Collect
Information you provide
- Contact and profile information — name, email address, phone number, and your role (Sponsor or Saver) when you join our waitlist or create an account.
- Identity verification information — date of birth, address, and government identifiers (such as SSN) if and when required to verify your identity for full account features.
- Goal and relationship information — savings goals you set and the Sponsor or Saver you link with.
- Referral information — if you participate in our referral program, your referral code and link activity, and, if you sign up through someone's referral link, the association between your account and theirs for reward attribution.
- Communications — messages you send us, survey responses, and support requests.
Information collected through Plaid
When you connect a bank account, we use Plaid Inc. ("Plaid") to access information from your financial institution, which may include account and routing numbers, account balances, account holder information, and transaction history. See Section 3 for details.
Information collected automatically
When you use the Service, we and our analytics providers automatically collect device and usage information — IP address, browser and device type, operating system, pages viewed, actions taken in the app, referring URLs, and approximate (city-level) location — using cookies, SDKs, and similar technologies. See Section 4.
2. How We Use Information
- Provide, operate, and improve the Service;
- Create and manage accounts, waitlist entries, and Sponsor–Saver connections;
- Verify bank account ownership and, at launch, facilitate contributions and matches;
- Verify your identity and comply with legal obligations, including anti-fraud and anti-money-laundering requirements;
- Communicate with you about the Service, including launch updates and support;
- Administer our referral program, including attributing referrals and applying rewards;
- Analyze usage to understand demand and improve the product;
- Protect the security and integrity of the Service; and
- Enforce our agreements and comply with law.
3. Plaid
We use Plaid to connect your bank account. By using the Service and linking a financial account, you grant Amply Match and Plaid the right, power, and authority to act on your behalf to access and transmit your personal and financial information from your financial institution. You agree that your personal and financial information will be transferred, stored, and processed by Plaid in accordance with the Plaid End User Privacy Policy.
Amply Match never receives or stores your bank username or password. We use information obtained through Plaid only to provide and improve the Service; we do not sell or rent it to marketers or any other third party. You can view and manage the connections you have made through Plaid, or request deletion of data held by Plaid, at Plaid Portal.
4. Cookies and Analytics
We use the following analytics tools:
- Product analytics (such as PostHog) — to understand how users interact with our site and app so we can improve it.
These tools use cookies and similar technologies. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling them may affect some features. We use analytics for our own product and marketing measurement — we do not use these tools to sell your personal information or to share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
5. How We Share Information
We share personal information only as follows:
- Between linked Sponsors and Savers — a linked Sponsor and Saver can see information relevant to their shared participation, such as goals, contribution activity, and match activity. Sponsors and Savers do not see each other's bank credentials or full account numbers.
- Service providers — companies that help us operate the Service, such as Plaid (bank connectivity), payment and banking infrastructure providers, identity verification providers, cloud hosting, email delivery, and analytics providers (PostHog). They may use personal information only to provide services to us.
- Legal and safety — when required by law, subpoena, or legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Amply Match, our users, or others, including fraud prevention.
- Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, subject to this Policy.
- With your consent — for any other purpose you direct or approve.
We do not sell personal information, and we have not sold personal information in the preceding 12 months. We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
6. Data Security
We maintain administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information, including encryption of data in transit and at rest, access controls, and monitoring. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately at privacy@amplymatch.com.
7. Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as needed to provide the Service and for legitimate business purposes, such as complying with legal, tax, and regulatory obligations, resolving disputes, and enforcing agreements. Financial records may be retained for longer periods where required by law. When information is no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it.
8. Your Choices
- Email — you can opt out of marketing emails using the unsubscribe link in any message; we will still send transactional and account emails.
- Cookies and analytics — use your browser controls as described in Section 4.
- Bank connections — manage or revoke Plaid connections at Plaid Portal or by contacting us.
- Access and deletion — you may request a copy of your personal information or ask us to delete it by emailing privacy@amplymatch.com.
9. Children's Privacy
The Service is intended for adults 18 and older, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us at privacy@amplymatch.com and we will delete it.
10. California Privacy Rights (CCPA/CPRA)
This section applies to California residents and supplements the rest of this Policy. It describes our practices as required by the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act ("CCPA"). Some information we handle — such as data subject to the federal Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act — may be exempt from the CCPA.
